Country Swing Level 3: Intermediate

Service Description

Country Swing Level Level 3: Intermediate (Pre-requisite of Country Swing Level 1 & 2) For this Level 3 Class, you MUST come to week 1 to participate in weeks 2, 3, or 4. That first week we dive into the technique you'll use in all the other weeks. I do occasionally make exceptions... please message me about it individually. Level 3 covers intermediate concepts and techniques in country swing like preps, ducks, whips, delayed footwork, shoulder turns etc. The first week is very technique heavy on control, balance, and communication. The next two weeks explore those techniques through related content, and then in the fourth week we set those moves to music, working not only on timing but also on musicality. I recommend you take this class concurrently with Level 2 to continue working on your basics… I try to connect the class content each month. This class covers different content each month. There is a little time to dance after class, from 9:30pm to 10pm, and a small social at the end of each month. Tuesday Nights 8:30pm-9:20pm Cost: $50 for 4-week session Instructor: Connor Stubbs Mini FAQ: I occasionally get asked what to wear (clothes and shoes). For clothes, I recommend you wear something you feel comfortable in and that you can move in. I have students show up in sweatpants and a t-shirt. I have students that show up in a suit and tie. It's your preference. For shoes, I ask you to bring footwear to switch into, especially during the winter, so we don’t get mud or snow tracked into our studio floors. I recommend you wear shoes you feel comfortable moving in. Often for students that is something that allows them to spin on the floor when they are on the balls of their feet (important for both leads and follows in country swing). You are totally welcome to wear socks.
